Upland Meadows English Springer Spaniels are from some of the best American, Canadian and British field trail and hunting bloodlines available. As hunters, our dogs are bred primarily to be exceptional hunting companions, understanding that some may also compete in field trials or participate in hunt tests. All of our breeding stock are proven in the field. Our dogs have plenty of drive and energy, but have a nice "On/Off" switch when brought into the home. Our goal is to produce puppies that are exceptional hunters, highly trainable, and loving companions. Very important to us is producing dogs that are exceptional bird finders and strong natural retrievers. We feel it a requirement that any hunting dog be skillful at retrieving downed or wounded game, both in order to fill our game pouches and preserve our natural resources. None of our breeding stock has had any "forced fetch" training to "enhance" their retrieving ability.
